Kazakhstan Investor Visa (C5)<\/h1>\n

The C5 business immigrant visa is the mandatory immigration status for any foreign national who wishes to register a company, acquire a share in an existing Kazakhstani company, or conduct entrepreneurial activity in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n

Important \u2014 AIFC exception:<\/strong> Foreign nationals registering a company within the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC)<\/em> do not require a C5 visa. AIFC incorporation is conducted remotely without the need to enter Kazakhstan. Obtain an invitation letter & visa support number<\/p>\n

The invitation letter must come from a Kazakhstan-registered company and must carry a visa support number issued by the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is the “chicken-and-egg” problem Bond Stone solves: if you have no company yet, we issue the invitation letter on your behalf as an authorised legal firm. Processing: 5\u20137 business days. Apply at the Kazakhstani embassy or consulate in your country of residence<\/p>\n

The initial single-entry C5 visa must be obtained abroad. It cannot be obtained inside Kazakhstan or converted from a tourist visa. You apply at the Kazakhstani embassy or consulate in your country of citizenship or permanent residence with the invitation letter, visa support number, and the required document package.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n

Following the November 2024 regulatory update which significantly reduced documentation requirements:<\/p>\n

After Arrival \u2014 Critical Obligations & Deadlines<\/h2>\n
\n

\u26a0 The 3 deadlines every C5 holder must know<\/p>\n

\n

Within 3 working days of arrival:<\/strong> Register with the migration authorities (temporary stay registration). Bond Stone handles this as part of the formation package.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Within 2 months of entry:<\/strong> Register your commercial organisation (TOO\/LLP) or formally acquire a share in an existing company. Failure to meet this deadline is grounds for immigration complications and cannot be remedied once the 90-day visa has expired.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Before leaving Kazakhstan:<\/strong> Apply for the C5 extension while still physically in the country. This is the most commonly missed step \u2014 if you leave Kazakhstan after registering the company without first extending the C5 visa, the extension cannot be processed later. A new C5 visa would require registering an additional company.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Stage 2 \u2014 Extending the C5 Visa<\/h2>\n

Once the company is registered, the investor may apply to extend the C5 to a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 1 year. The extension is processed by the Migration Service of Kazakhstan and must be applied for while the investor is physically present in Kazakhstan on the initial 90-day visa.<\/p>\n

Family Reunification \u2014 C2 Dependent Visa<\/h2>\n

Spouses, children under 18, and dependent parents of C5 visa holders may apply for the C2 family reunification visa. Following the November 2024 regulatory update, the minimum duration of marriage required for spousal reunification has been reduced from three years to one year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
