Sanat Ablakov

Sanat is a seasoned attorney with over two decades of legal experience, licensed to practice throughout Kazakhstan. A member of the Almaty Regional Bar Association, he is admitted to represent clients in trials and appeals before various government agencies and courts.

Professional Background

Sanat began his legal career in 2000 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior trial and appellate attorney at the Almaty City State’s Attorney Office. During his tenure, he handled high-profile cases, including a significant white-collar crime case against the CEO of Kazakh Railways. He also managed a team of attorneys that reviewed over 2,500 cases, successfully bringing more than 1,800 of them to the Court of Appeal.

In 2007, Sanat founded his private practice, BOND STONE law firm, where he has served in various capacities. As a managing partner, he has led the firm’s Corporate and Employment, Tax and Dispute Resolution, and Energy and Natural Resources practices. Since January 2020, he has been advising clients as “of counsel” on dispute resolution matters and managing the firm’s Almaty office.
